Security 4 You - Access Control
An Access Control System or Door Security is a system which allows an authority to control access to areas and resources in the building of a business. An access control system, within the field of physical security, is usually seen as the second layer in the security of a business. Item control or electronic key management is an area within, or integrated with, an access control system to manage the possession and location of small assets. At Security 4 You, we install door access control systems outfitted with Hirsch, DMP, and Kantech equipment. With our friendly service, and competitive rate, we will design a security system that best meets your needs. Security 4 You is based on commitment, respect, integrity, and building trust in every relationship. These are the cornerstones of our corporate philosophy.
How does an Access Control System work?
When a credential is presented to a reader, the reader sends the credential’s information, usually a number, to a control panel, a highly reliable processor. The control panel then compares the credential to an access control list in it's database. Access is then granted or denied the entry request, and a record is entered into the transaction log. When access is denied based on the access control database verification, the door remains locked. If there is a match between the credential and the access control list, the control panel operates a relay that in turn unlocks the door.
Credentials of a Access Control System
A credential is a physical object, a piece of knowledge, or a facet of a person's physical being, that enables an individual access to a facility or room. Typically, credentials can be something you know (such as number or PIN), something you have (such as an access badge with a magnetic strip), something you are (such as a biometric feature) or some combination of these items in higher security readers. The typical credential is an access card, key fob, or other key because they are the least expensive and portable. There are many card technologies including magnetic stripe, bar code, Wiegand, proximity, card-swipe, contact smart cards, and contactless smart cards. Key-fobs are also available, which are more compact than ID cards and attach to a key ring. Typical biometric technologies include fingerprint, facial recognition, iris recognition, retinal scan, voice, and hand geometry.
Does Security 4 You use a local Monitoring Center?
Yes! Our monitoring station is in Southern California.
Does Security 4 You offer 24 hour service?
We have a live person to answer the phone and service your security system at any hour of the day. Not a confusing phone tree like our nationwide competitors. When your alarm is blaring, and you need service, the last thing you want to do is listen to phone commands.
How do you prevent false alarms?
Many security companies quickly install mediocre equipment, then hand you the bill. Security 4 You only uses the very best equipment around, and takes the time to install and thoroughly test each device.
Can I get a high quality security system without breaking the bank?
Everyone has their own unique security needs, and the costs are relative to their needs. Every system we design is for uncompromising protection. This is not always going to be the least expensive quote, but it is always the most functional and reliable system.
